Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, has already confirmed that the smartphone marker company is working on affordable smartphones.
Moreover, the Instagram posts from “OnePlusLiteZThing” inadvertently confirmed that the new smartphone will be named “OnePlus Nord“. OnePlus has been pushing a lot of posts related to its upcoming OnePlus Z/Nord smartphone on Instagram.
Now, people from Android Central have confirmed that OnePlus Nord will feature a dual selfie camera with a 32MP lens and an 8MP ultrawide lens.
Attributing the revelation to an insider source, Android Central says that OnePlus Z will have the dual selfie camera cut out at the top left corner similar to Huawei P40 series.
If this turns out to be true, OnePlus Nord will be the first smartphone from the Chinese OEM to feature a dual selfie camera. An upgrade to the front camera is long overdue since OnePlus has been including the same 16MP front camera in its smartphones for a while.
As for other specifications, rumors suggest that OnePlus Nord will have a 90Hz AMOLED screen with an in-display fingerprint scanner, triple rear camera setup, Snapdragon 765G, and 4,000mAh battery with 30W Warp Charging.
A tweet by Carl Pie, OnePlus co-founder has hinted that OnePlus Nord could be launched at a price of $299.
