Indian Army Bans PUBG, Facebook, Tinder, And 86 Other Apps

The Indian Army has banned the usage of PUBG, Facebook, Instagram, Tinder, Snapchat, and 86 other famous apps for all Indian army personnel. The decision came after a week of the ban imposed by the Indian government on 59 Chinese apps.

As per the tweet by ANI, it is clear that the Army personnel are required to delete the banned apps from their smartphones by July 15, 2020.

As mentioned in NDTV Gadgets 360, Army’s decision to ban apps didn’t even spare the most used apps in India including Facebook, PUBG, Instagram Tinder, and a lot more big names. However, it is not clear whether the websites of the apps like Facebook, Instagram, and others have been banned or not because it can be easily accessed via a browser.

Other apps banned by the Indian Army are the Chinese apps that were previously banned by the Indian government. The decision was taken by the Indian Army to assure the safety of the army men and to avoid any confidential data leak.
