A newly leaked Amazon listing has confirmed that OnePlus Nord, the company’s upcoming affordable smartphone, will launch in India on July 21st.
The listing, now removed, shows that OnePlus will keep it an Augmented Reality (AR) launch. Other than that, the Amazon teaser also includes the OnePlus Nord event link; however, it appears the landing page is yet to go live. This rubbishes previous leaks, which suggested the OnePlus Nord launch date to be July 10th.
The news comes just a few days after another Amazon listing last week revealed the first look of the device. It confirmed the existence of a vertical triple camera setup on the glass back and a dual punch hole camera setup on the front, a first-timer for OnePlus.
There is a lot of hype around the upcoming OnePlus device and for the right reasons. OnePlus has confirmed that OnePlus Nord will be a mid-range device. In the last few years, OnePlus has increased its smartphone price with every new launch, therefore derailing from their USP (Unique Selling point), which is proving high spec smartphones at affordable prices. But this time, the company is going back to its roots, and it is rumored that OnePlus Nord will be priced under $500.
As for the OnePlus Nord specifications, there is strong evidence suggesting that a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G processor will power the device. The dual punch hole in the front will be a 32MP lens and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The OnePlus Nord will reportedly launch in India and the European market at the beginning.
