After signing an executive order to ban TikTok, the US President Donald Trump has joined TikTok rival ‘Triller.’ His first video has been released on the rising video platform which has already gathered 4.7 million views at the time of writing.
In the 15-second video, Trump can be heard saying he’s a “professional at technology” and “nobody can do it like me. Nobody.”
There are two other videos on the account that were posted on Saturday afternoon. One is a clip of the President making a short speech where he says “Joe Biden has no clue,” and another video mocking the potential Democratic presidential nominee.
Triller is one of many TikTok alternatives that has gained traction after the TikTok ban came into discussion. Trump’s account on Triller is verified which has about 9,600 followers and four videos.
According to multiple reports, this account was created on Saturday. On Friday, Trump had ordered ByteDance, the Chinese parent company of TikTok, to either sell or spin off its assets in the US within a span of 90 days, citing national security concerns.
ByteDance is already in talks with Microsoft to acquire all of TikTok’s global businesses, which would include India, the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Even Twitter went through an initial round of discussion with TikTok to merge its business with the Chinese app.
Recently, a heated debate took place between Trump advisors over the TikTok ban, after which we heard another rumor that TikTok might sue the White House.
