Instagram is rolling out a new service that will allow the creators to sell various products directly in the app. In an announcement blog, the Facebook-owned company said that it is going to provide access for Instagram shopping to more creators and businesses.
There are some Commerce Eligibility Requirements that the creator or business will be supposed to fulfill in order to use the service. The service will be rolled out in all countries where Instagram, shopping is supported on July 9, 2020.
Instagram Creators Commerce Eligibility Requirements
The Commerce Eligibility Requirements include a set of rules that are to be followed by the creators.
The most important rule is that the creator has to agree with Facebook’s Terms of Use and Community Standards. Creator will not be allowed to use the Facebook commerce services if they are found violating community guidelines.
The Facebook or the professional Instagram account of the creator should contain the product list so that the customers can directly purchase it.
Moreover, Instagram will also check the trustworthiness of your page. It means that one needs to have an authentic Instagram professional account. A sufficient number of followers will also be considered as a factor to declare a page trustworthy.
Other Previous Announcements
In the times of pandemic, Instagram is leaving no stone unturned to help the creators in making money. Previously, the platform announced that it will soon introduce ads on IGTV videos of creators. Instagram also said that it will share 55% of ads revenue with the creators.
However, there is no word about the launch of IGTV ads. As per speculations, creators will soon be able to take advantage of that too.
